New product launch Orchid Sticks

We are excited to announce, small but beautiful, our orchid sticks have just been launched this 2026 season.

New for 2026: Orchid Plant Food Sticks

Orchids have a reputation for being temperamental. The truth is gentler than that: most orchids aren’t difficult, they’re just easy to overfeed. Get the feeding right, and these elegant plants will reward you with blooms that last for months. That’s exactly why we created our newest addition for the 2026 season — small but beautiful, our Orchid Plant Food Sticks.

Why orchids need their own food

Orchids aren’t like other houseplants. In the wild, most varieties grow clinging to trees rather than rooted in soil, drawing a light, steady trickle of nutrients from rain and bark. Feed them too much, too fast, and you risk scorching those delicate roots. Feed them too little and the leaves stay green, but the flower spikes never appear. They need a balanced, measured diet — and that is exactly what these sticks are designed to deliver.

Each stick carries a carefully balanced NPK of 15–7–8 (+2): enough nitrogen for healthy leaves, with the phosphorus and potassium that encourage strong roots and repeat flowering. The added magnesium (the +2) helps keep foliage a rich, glossy green.

Slow-release, and refreshingly simple

We know the fiddly part of feeding is remembering to do it. Liquid feeds need mixing, measuring and a steady hand — and they tend to run straight out of the bottom of the pot. Our sticks take all of that away.

Simply push a pre-measured stick into the growing medium and let it work. The slow-release formula delivers a constant supply of nutrients right at the roots, without the spikes and slumps of liquid feeding. There’s no mixing, no measuring, and no mess — and unlike liquid feeds, they won’t wash away the next time you water.

One pack of 25 sticks goes a remarkably long way. You only need to feed every 12 weeks, halving the dose over the quieter winter months. For most orchids on a windowsill, that’s a single pack lasting well over a year.

Kinder by design

Like everything we make, these sticks were created with the same family-business care we’ve put into our products for more than 18 years. There’s no smell, no hazardous granules left sitting on the surface, and nothing to worry about around curious pets or children investigating the plant pots.

Whether you’re nurturing a much-loved Phalaenopsis that’s been with you for years, or you’ve just been gifted your first orchid and aren’t quite sure where to start, these sticks make feeding genuinely foolproof.

A small addition, a big difference

We called them “small but beautiful” for a reason. They’re a modest little product, but the difference they make to a struggling or shy-flowering orchid can be remarkable: healthy roots, glossy leaves, and — the bit we all wait for — those gorgeous, long-lasting blooms.

Our Orchid Plant Food Sticks are available now for the 2026 season, priced at £5.99 for a pack of 25.
